We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer who understands the data extraction and enrichment industry and can take complete ownership of our production backend.Candidates with prior experience in web scraping, B2B data enrichment, sales intelligence, or similar products will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities• Take complete ownership of our existing production backend, including architecture, performance, stability, and scalability.• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale web scraping and data extraction systems.• Build and optimize backend APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines.• Manage high-volume data extraction, enrichment, and automation workflows.• Improve scraping reliability, concurrency, request handling, and rate-limit management.• Develop and maintain asynchronous tasks, background workers, and job queues.• Optimize database queries, caching, and overall system performance.• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.• Manage backend deployments, monitoring, logging, and infrastructure reliability.• Make technical decisions independently and ensure production systems operate efficiently. Required Skills & Experience• 4+ years of professional backend development experience.• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or JavaScript/TypeScript.• Hands-on experience with web scraping, data extraction, or data enrichment systems.• Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and distributed systems.• Experience with asynchronous programming, concurrency, and high-volume data processing.• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, Redis, or similar databases.• Familiarity with proxies, browser automation, and request management.• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, and CI/CD.• Proven experience managing and scaling production applications.• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Domain Experience• B2B lead generation and sales intelligence platforms.• LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar data extraction systems.• Email finding, email verification, and contact enrichment.• Web scraping infrastructure and browser automation.• Large-scale ETL pipelines and data processing.• Proxy management and scraping reliability.• API-based data enrichment and automation products.
