Chemist / Chemical Engineer / Gold Assayer / Laboratory Technician
<p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gold Assayer / Laboratory Technician / Chemist to analyze and test gold and gold-bearing materials to determine their purity, composition, and value. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of gold assaying techniques and laboratory procedures.</p><p><br></p><p><span>Key Responsibilities</span></p><p><span>1. Prepare and test gold ore, bullion, scrap, and alloy samples.</span></p><p><span>2. Perform fire assay, XRF, and other analytical methods to determine gold content and purity.</span></p><p><span>3. Determine gold purity and accurately record and document test results.</span></p><p><span>4. Prepare laboratory reports and communicate findings to relevant team members.</span></p><p><span>5. Operate, maintain, and ensure the proper functioning of laboratory equipment.</span></p><p><span>6. Follow laboratory safety procedures and proper chemical handling practices.</span></p><p><span>7. Ensure testing activities comply with established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and applicable safety requirements.</span></p><p><span>8. Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>Qualifications & Requirements</span></p><p><span>1. Diploma or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.</span></p><p><span>2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in gold assaying, precious metals, or a related laboratory role.</span></p><p><span>3. Practical experience in fire assay and XRF analysis.</span></p><p><span>Knowledge of gold and precious metals testing and analytical techniques.</span></p><p><span>4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</span></p><p><span>5. Good documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.</span></p><p><span>6.
