Minimum Qualifications <ul><li>Have NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) in an Information Technology field </li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a related role.</li><li>Have a valid driver’s license</li><li>Have a clear security screening record.</li><li>Be medically fit to work in the specific business area. </li></ul>Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Implement and position the data and voice communications network to meet current requirements and future business challenges</li><li>Ensure the proactive use of applicable tools to monitor network performance and be alerted when set thresholds are reached and action the alerts</li><li>Implement the rollout of firmware updates, network rearrangements, and the installation of new equipment and facilities with Repair, and Field Operations, minimizing Customer impact and maximizing the productivity of resources</li><li>Provide a stable platform for the delivery of ICT computer systems which meet current and future business requirements</li><li>Ensure that all networking devices have a reliable backup to be used to restore switch and networking equipment faster</li><li>Ensure that the correct authorisations requested for creation, deletions and moves are correctly captured within the system and comply with the license agreements</li><li>Have solid experience in Cisco, Dell, and Aruba configurations and maintenance</li><li>Manage and maintain the delivery of networks and the uptime</li><li>Ensure the network infrastructure has sufficient capacity to satisfy the data requirements (no congestion)</li><li>Implementations in the current data communications network structures and the identification of areas for improvement and short- and long-term plans to remedy these</li><li>Ensure available options are identified and tested to maintain uninterrupted business continuity in the case of network failures</li><li>Maintain and recommend enhancement on routing and routing redundancy for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks in the most efficient manner</li><li>Understand and support and assist with implementation of Palo Alto firewalls</li><li>Effective liaison with Service Providers to ensure efficient service delivery</li><li>New and changing technical advances are anticipated and factored into network communications solutions in conjunction with overall architecture</li><li>Implement new Installations and upgrades are planned with reference to the Enterprise Technical Roadmap and standards</li><li>Optimisation of the networks to meet the specific demands of the business</li><li>The corrective patch levels of the equipment are maintained</li><li>The corrected firmware levels of the equipment are applied</li><li>Ensure 24/7 uptime on network</li><li>Provide daily backup of critical data in the communications environment</li><li>Updating of network diagrams</li><li>Ensure all ICT networks are documented, and records kept up to date of IP addressing and routing</li><li>Co-ordinate and assist in all new fire installations surface and ensure redundancy where possible</li><li>Ensure fibre and physical link failures are identified and repaired as quickly as possible</li><li>Patching of hardware and software is maintained to an acceptable level</li><li>Planning monitoring and maintenance of routing</li><li>Liaise with business units to understand current and future requirements</li><li>Follow change control process for any changes </li></ul>Additional Requirements <ul><li>Have good understanding of Sibanye business needs related to ICT Networks</li><li>Ensure fibre and physical link failures are identified and repaired as quickly as possible</li><li>Have the ability to effectively communicate with a broad base of end users</li><li>Have solid experience in Cisco, Dell, and Aruba configurations and maintenance</li><li>Have knowledge with the use of SolarWinds</li><li>Have knowledge of specialised tools for monitoring</li><li>Optical fibre splicing within the business and to ensure fibre networks has got stable links with minimal DB losses as far as possible to ensure links function optimally</li><li>Co-ordinate and assist in all new fire installations surface and ensure redundancy path where possible</li><li>Be able to Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, maintain and administer all network related functions in Sibanye on the Local Area network infrastructure </li></ul>Job Purpose <ul><li>To constantly monitor the Sibanye IT Infrastructure (Networks, servers and desktops) and to provide a support service to customer in line with SLA's.</li></ul>
